Thanks to all who replied with advise. The leak was eventually found and it was the head gasket drivers side front. I tried a can of "not so cheap" Rislone and hey presto no more leak. The level in the reserve bottle has not moved so mybe I was lucky as $70 was worth a try before shelling out big...

My TS has a bad timing chain rattle, its only done 145,000 k's, its quiet when the engine is cool but when its gets hot say after 10 minutes of driving it rattles bad at idle and worse at lower revs when in drive, could it only be the chains or maybe the chain tensioner? cheers
